Heavy Metal Detox: Where to Begin (Without Overwhelm)

Heavy Metal Detox: Where to Begin (Without Overwhelm)

if you are interested in this research, please read on below.

Now that we’ve touched on the problem… let’s start talking about what we can actually do.

Detox doesn’t have to mean extreme fasting or complicated regimens. The body is already designed to detox—it just needs the right support to do so efficiently, especially in our modern toxic world.

 The Real Challenge: Bioaccumulation

Heavy metals like lead, mercury, and arsenic etc can build up silently over years. They don’t just sit in the bloodstream—they lodge themselves into bones, fat, brain and other vital organs tissue, and even in your mitochondria (your energy engines!).

That’s why while your blood test looks “normal,” you could still have a tissue-level burden.

Supporting the Body’s Natural Detox Pathways

Supporting the body's natural detox pathways

Before pulling toxins out, we need to make sure the “drains” are open. Otherwise, stirring up toxins without proper elimination can make you feel worse.

Let’s start by supporting these five main detox organs:

  1. Liver – Your main filter. Needs antioxidants, gentle stimulation (e.g., castor oil packs, bitter herbs, ozone).
  2. Kidneys – Flush out water-soluble waste. Needs hydration, minerals, kidney friendly herbal support.
  3. Colon – Needs water, fiber, magnesium, and bowel regularity.
  4. Lymphatic system – Moves toxins through tissues. Needs movement, dry brushing, hydration.
  5. Skin – Your backup organ! Sauna, sweating, and mineral-rich baths are powerful here.

Think of detox like unclogging a house drain. You don’t pour drain cleaner in if the pipe is blocked at the end. First, you check the exit path.

Gentle Daily Practices to Start Now

You don’t have to do everything at once. Just pick 1–2 simple things and build from there.

Here are some examples of gentle, supportive detox practices:

  • Lemon water in the morning (hydration + liver support)
  • Sweating regularly (ozone sauna, hot baths, hot yoga, exercise)
  • Dry brushing or light rebounding (lymph movement)
  • Ozone therapy or ozone sauna (powerful cellular-level detox)
  • More greens (especially cilantro, parsley, chlorella)
  • Magnesium-rich foods or baths (support bowel and relax nervous system)

We’ll expand on these and share our favourite combinations soon.

Detox Is a long walk, Not a Sprint

Detox isn’t a one-time event. It’s a rhythm, a conversation with your body. Some days are about releasing, some are about restoring. The key is consistency and kindness—not punishment.

“You don’t push the river—you flow with it.”

In the next email, we’ll focus on the first heavy metal: Arsenic
Where it hides. How it disrupts. What to do about it.

It’s more common than most people think—and it might explain more than you realize.

Thoughts or questions so far?
Just hit “Reply” and share. I’m reading all of them. This is meant to be a conversation, not a lecture.

Introduction to Heavy Metals & Chronic Disease

Introduction to Heavy Metals & Chronic Disease

Although heavy metals are just one part of today’s environmental toxic burden, they’ve been a persistent problem for a very long time.

That’s why we’ve chosen to start with a recap of these particular toxins. From here, we’ll move forward into other types of environmental exposures that impact us every day.

We promise to keep it simple—because let’s be honest, how can we process complex information when we’re already dealing with:

Brain fog
Chronic fatigue
Inflammation

That vague feeling of “I just don’t feel like myself anymore…”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. These aren’t just random symptoms—they’re signals. Signals that your body may be accumulating toxins and approaching a tipping point.

Even small amounts of heavy metals—like arsenic, mercury, cadmium, nickel, and lead—can silently disrupt:

Energy production
Brain clarity & emotional balance
Immune response & inflammation levels
Weight regulation & hormonal health

I know many of you are already familiar with this topic. You’ve read about it. Maybe you’ve detoxed—once, or even several times in the past few years. But unless this is something you’re actively addressing daily, there’s still more to uncover, feel, and understand.

Awareness is vital — but action and momentum are what actually move the needle.

What If You’re Already Feeling Pretty Good?

That’s fantastic! Then this can be your tune-up — a way to sharpen your body’s natural systems and protect yourself from future overload.

Whether your goals are:

Losing weight
Clearer, younger-looking skin
Boosted energy
A sharper mind
Improve your quality of life

Addressing daily heavy metals burden could help unlock all of those benefits.

A Personal Note From Us

Of course, many of you are navigating deeper challenges—post-COVID symptoms, Lyme disease, chronic infections, food sensitivities, or inherited weaknesses.

There’s a lot going on for so many of us. But we all have to start somewhere. So let’s begin with what is known, what we know how to manage, and then build forward—step by step.

Both Maya and I have personally benefited from ozone therapies and detox programs — especially in sauna using our largest detoxification organ; our skin.
But healing doesn’t happen all at once. It’s not a magic pill. It is a process. It’s more like a spiral: each higher plateau opens the door to the next level.

And sometimes, yes—it feels like a roller coaster!

This is not just a race against time.
It’s a process of releasing what no longer serves us, of adapting as our bodies shift and heal. Some organs regenerate more slowly. Hormones ebb and flow. But we are not just passive passengers—we are the guides of our own healing journey.

Let’s move forward together—with more clarity, energy, and joy.

What to Expect Tomorrow

You’ll go over the specifics of the various heavy metals with attention to:

✅ What it is
✅ Where it hides
✅ What it does to your system
✅ What you can do to address it’s negative impact (naturally)

No overwhelm. Just clarity and direction.

We’d Love to Hear From You

Whether you’re new to this subject or experienced, sceptical or excited—We’d truly love to hear from you.
Your thoughts, experiences, or viewpoints matter.

We’re in this together; the entire population of this planet and we all carry some responsibility for each other.

Rediscovering a Genius: The Lost Sauna Protocols of Professor von Ardenne

Nearly a century ago, Professor Manfred von Ardenne—a brilliant German physicist, inventor, and medical pioneer—began developing what would become one of the most advanced integrative cancer protocols of his time. His approach was far ahead of its era: a systematic therapy that combined oxygen enrichmentmetabolic stimulationphysical activation, and heat to enhance the body’s natural capacity for healing.

Prof von Ardenne was one of the first to show, through clinical and laboratory research, that oxygen uptake in tissues could be profoundly improved by increasing the arterial–venous oxygen difference—in essence, making the body more efficient at using the oxygen it already receives. His breakthrough became known as Oxygen Multistep Therapy (OMT), a method that not only raised oxygen levels in the blood but also stimulated capillary perfusion, improved mitochondrial energy production, and helped restore normal function in oxygen-deprived cells. OMT was renamed for EWOT therapy in North America as soon as prof von Ardenne’s writings were translated into English and circulated as such in the media ever since.

What set Professor von Ardenne apart wasn’t just that he believed oxygen was important—it was that he understood how profoundly oxygen shortage at the cellular level could alter the course of a disease.

In his clinical work, he documented that reduced oxygen availability in tissue (what he called “oxygen deficiency syndromes”) played a central role in conditions ranging from cardiovascular disease and cancer to immune dysfunction and chronic fatigue. His solution? Not just to supply more oxygen, but to ensure that the body could actually absorb, transport, and utilize it.

The timeless efficacy of ozone therapy: 174 years of medical advancement

We have participated in Dr. Schallenbergers’ online training and would like to bring to you some of our acquired knowledge in a simplified manner.

Our immune system is composed of two parts: Th1 and Th2 immunity. They both have to be in balance for our immune system to function properly. They regulate our immune system by releasing various cytokines. Many diseases are driven by imbalances between Th1 and Th2 and consequent release of disease-promoting cytokines.

Unfortunately, due to the onslaught of environmental pollutants today, the two divisions of our immune system (Th1 and Th2) have become very unbalanced. Th2 is often overstimulated by factors such as parasites, petrochemicals, pesticides, vaccines, fungal infections, heavy metals, and bacteria. Overstimulation of Th2 immunity produces too many health-detrimental cytokines. Th2 activation of specific pro-inflammatory types of cytokines results in chronically sick individuals.

The solution is to bring Th1 up to balance the ratio of Th1 to Th2.

Ozone is an automatic immune system regulator and balancer. It modulates Th1 and Th2 immunity according to the needs of the body. The Th1 to Th2 ratio exposed to ozone therapy will balance instantly, mostly downregulating Th2 and increasing Th1 immunity response, saving our body from many chronic diseases including autoimmune issues or cardiovascular conditions and oncological health challenges.

Ozone gets directed by the body into what to repair, what to get rid of, and what to balance.

Rectal ozone is one of the most underutilized ozone therapeutic applications. Using a high-grade ozone generator, rectal insufflation can be performed right in one’s home. This affordable, simple, and convenient ozone application is effective and comparable to ozone IV.

Ozone delivered through the rectum ends up within seconds in the liver, traveling straight to where it is needed. The liver, due to environmental pollutants, is a beaten-up organ. It is such a strong regulating force for the body though, taking care of over 200 physiological functions. It takes things out and puts things in, just like a second brain.

Rectal ozone is often compared in its effectiveness to intervention applications. Ozone, being a very gentle liver detoxifier, will have a huge impact on liver functions, bringing about enormous changes in the health of vulnerable individuals.

Over 3000 papers have been published on O3 and its medical use, going way back to 1850. imaging 174 years in use and still profoundly effective in improving our health and life quality. Impressive, don’t you think?

Ozone Saunas: Revitalizing Detoxification Through Steam Therapy

Ozone is a gas made up of three oxygen atoms (O3).

Ozone occurs naturally in small (trace) amounts in the stratosphere, and to some extent, the particles shield Earth from the full effect of the Sun’s ultraviolet (UV) light. Indeed, ozone is created when a regular oxygen molecule (O2), the type we breathe, drifts up to the very top of the sky. There, on the edge of space, it is split apart by sunlight into single oxygen atoms. Single oxygen atoms can rejoin to make O2, or they can join with O2 molecules to make ozone (O3).

Ozone (O3) for health or wellness purposes, can be made with an ozone generator. This device is used in spas, clinics and homes. The third oxygen atom can detach from the ozone molecule and reattach to molecules of other substances, thereby altering their chemical composition. It’s this ability to react with other substances that forms the basis of proponents’ health claims about ozone. Gunk in your body can be broken down or ‘oxidized’ away…

Detoxification through the skin is as old as the sauna or the sweat lodge. Humans have been enjoying the benefits of steam rooms for at least two millennia; the Romans built steam baths based on the Greek tradition. This practice was popular not only because it was pleasurable but also because it provided undeniable health benefits.

Human skin tissue, the outer covering of the human body, is permeable. What most people don’t know is that it is by far the largest organ of the body’s integumentary system. The skin has up to seven layers of ectodermal tissue and guards the underlying muscles, bones, ligaments, and internal organs. It also ‘breathes’. If you dwell in toxic regions of the world or work in toxic environments, your skin will absorb these latent malignancies. Conversely, if you frequently enjoy steam baths or saunas, you can use your skin to detoxify your body. Ozone saunas are a more modern extension of this age-old personal detoxification solution.

BOEX (Body Ozone Exposure) inside a steam cabinet

As the heat makes you sweat, toxins pour out of your body. After a session, comments like the ones below are not unusual:

“A relaxing experience. Definitely felt the pores opening up.”

“I felt very clean afterward. Like I just had a very hot shower, but without any residue from soap.”

“I felt the whole process was similar to the Roman baths in Baden-Baden [a German town known for its nude communal baths], but with a lot more privacy.”

A normal sauna increases the eliminative, detoxifying, and cleansing capacity of the skin by stimulating the sweat glands. It also promotes healthy skin tone and texture due to increased blood circulation.

Introducing ozone into the equation adds to the benefits of the steam. As the particles of the steam surround the body, they become a conduit through which O3 can be introduced into the body via the skin. Humid heat opens the pores, allowing the ozone to pass through the skin into the bloodstream, where it can travel to the fat and lymph tissue.

Preventive medicine places a lot of emphasis on diet and detox, and its literature repeatedly stresses the importance of frequent cleanses, especially for cleansing the lymph tissue of toxins. It could be argued that the ozone-enriched steam sauna is the easiest and best way to accomplish this detox.

The combined action of moist heat and ozone has a cleansing effect on the lymphatic system, which carries 90% of the body’s fluids. Ozone brings oxygen to the tissues for enhanced health and vitality. The combination of steam and ozone is a natural, effective way to promote a refreshing sense of well-being. And our clients agree: the ozone steam sauna is a pleasant way to practice body cleansing.

Benefits of ozone sauna

  1. Relaxes and loosens muscles by reducing the buildup of lactic acid and increasing muscle flexibility.
  2. Oxidizes toxins so they can be eliminated through the skin, lungs, kidneys, and colon. Boosts blood circulation, helping injured muscles repair more quickly.
  3. Stimulates vasodilation of peripheral blood vessels, relieving pain and speeding the healing process.
  4. Eliminates bacterial and viral infections of all kinds.
  5. Speeds up the metabolic processes of the inner organs and endocrine glands, resulting in a loss of 200-450 calories in a 20-minute session.

A growing number of physicians and patients have expressed enthusiasm for the ozone steam cabinet method for treating a wide variety of health complaints. Naturally, standardized protocols need to be followed.

Ozone itself is not new; it has been effectively used for over a century. However, the ozone steam sauna is a relatively new addition to ozone applications, emerging perhaps around 50 years ago.

Breathing for Wellness: Unlocking the Power of Mindful Respiration

Hyperventilation increases stress hormones, such as cortisol and adrenaline.

There’s no question that elevated stress hormones are detrimental. Cortisol, in particular, acts as a primary aging hormone. When chronically elevated, it accelerates the aging process by promoting tissue breakdown (catabolism). Additionally, cortisol is antimetabolic, meaning it reduces metabolic rate. To maintain health and age gracefully, the body requires an anabolic state to build healthy tissues such as muscle and mitochondria. High cortisol levels significantly impair these efforts.

If you aim to enhance your health, mastering proper breathing techniques is crucial: slow and gentle breathing is key. Maintaining a higher concentration of CO2 within the biologically normal range increases the likelihood that your breathing will support both your health and performance.

We can also assist by providing proper equipment for therapeutic CO2 delivery when necessary.
