Arsenic: The Silent Toxin in Your Body — And How to Get It Out Safely

Arsenic: The Silent Toxin in Your Body — And How to Get It Out Safely

Even if you’re living a healthy lifestyle — eating clean, drinking filtered water, and staying active — arsenic might still be hiding in your body.

It’s one of the most common environmental toxins today, and yet most lab tests only detect recent exposures. Chronic, low-dose arsenic often hides deep in your tissues: your fat, skin, nails, and even organs — where it can quietly interfere with your health for decades.

That’s why many people struggle with symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, skin issues, and hormone imbalances — without knowing their body is burdened by hidden toxins like arsenic.

So where does arsenic come from?

Unfortunately, it’s more widespread than you think:
For example in non-organic chicken, apple juice, and rice.

In smoke, treated wood and industrial pollution.
In household dust, tap water, skincare products, and soil.

Even people doing “all the right things” are still exposed.

Once it’s in the body, arsenic interferes with your mitochondria (the energy factories in your cells), blocks detox pathways, and adds stress to your immune and hormonal systems. Over time, this leads to issues like mood swings, energy crashes, blood sugar imbalances, skin changes, and even increased cancer risk.

So how can you get it out — gently and effectively?

One of the most powerful tools we recommend is ozone steam sauna. This isn’t just a regular sauna — it combines the warmth of steam with medical-grade ozone, which oxygenates tissues and helps release toxins from deep within.

Here’s how it works:

The warm steam opens your pores, allowing ozone to enter through the skin. This helps mobilize toxins — including heavy metals like arsenic — and safely carry them out through your sweat. Because it works through the skin, it also bypasses the liver and kidneys, giving your detox organs a break.

Many people even notice something we call “the towel test”: yellow or greyish residue on their towels after a session — a sign that their body is truly letting go.

Want to support your detox even further?
Here are some gentle ways to assist your body at home:

  • Drink filtered water (especially if you’re on a well)

  • Eat organic and sulphur-rich foods like garlic, onions, and broccoli

  • Supplement with trace minerals: selenium, zinc, magnesium

  • Support your methylation pathways with B vitamins (B12, B6, methyl folate)

  • Consider binders like chlorella or cilantro to escort toxins out
(always consult your practitioner before starting)

When you combine these practices with ozone steam sauna sessions, detox becomes a sustainable, supportive process — not a stressful one.

We are Ozone Sauna Manufacturer’s and distributor’s for clinical or home use. However if you are looking for an Ozone steam sauna near you please give us a call and we will happily refer you to one of the clinics we know.

Your body already knows what it’s holding. With the right support, it will let it go — and you’ll feel lighter, clearer, and more resilient.

“The Metal That Hijacks Your Energy”

“The Metal That Hijacks Your Energy”

We’re exposed to a growing list of toxins every day — but few are as insidious or as underestimated as mercury.

For decades, mercury was considered a necessary evil — found in thermometers, vaccines, dental fillings, and even skin care. Today, while some uses have faded, mercury remains deeply woven into our modern environment: it’s in our oceans, our food chain, and for many, still residing in their teeth.

What makes mercury uniquely harmful is its affinity for fat-rich tissues — particularly the brain and nervous system — and its ability to disrupt the mitochondria, the very engines of cellular energy. Once in the body, it tends to linger. It binds to sulfur-rich sites in tissues and enzymes, quietly impairing cognitive clarity, emotional stability, detox capacity, and more.

You may never have connected the dots — fatigue that doesn’t improve, shifting moods, a sense of detachment, or persistent inflammation. For those with silver dental fillings (amalgams) or high seafood consumption, it’s even more relevant.

So why don’t we hear about it more often?

Because symptoms are vague. Mercury doesn’t knock loudly — it whispers. It mimics other conditions, and its bioaccumulative nature makes it easy to miss unless you know what to look for.

Many functional medicine clinics are now screening for mercury more routinely, particularly in those with chronic fatigue, neurological symptoms, autoimmune conditions, or hormonal dysregulation.

But detoxing mercury isn’t just about removing it — it’s about doing so gently and wisely.

At Recover U, we emphasize safer, cellular-level support that works with the body’s natural systems. That’s where ozone steam saunas come in. They offer a unique blend of heat, transdermal ozone, and deep lymphatic stimulation that encourages the body to mobilize and excrete mercury and other heavy metals — without overwhelming the kidneys or liver.

This is not a quick fix — it’s a regenerative process that supports whole-body renewal.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your chronic symptoms could be linked to past exposures — even ones you thought were behind you — you’re not alone. We’ve supported dozens of clients navigating detox from amalgamsmercury in seafood, and even prenatal exposure. You don’t need to be a specialist to start the conversation — just curious and open.

We’ll continue this journey in the next email, where we’ll explore lead, another heavy metal with a long legacy and hidden reach.

In the meantime, we invite you to learn more or reach out for a conversation.

“Why Does Heat Wipe Me Out?”

“Why Does Heat Wipe Me Out?”

🥵 Why does the heat make me feel so wiped out?

At first, I thought it was just me. But then something clicked — something simple, yet often overlooked.

The truth is: heat doesn’t just exhaust us — it activates detox.

Here’s what I’ve realized, both from experience and working with ozone steam saunas for years:

💨 In our Ozone Steam Saunas, we use EWOT (Exercise With Oxygen Therapy) — pairing steam and ozone with concentrated oxygen. The body, under this controlled heat, mimics a state of exercise: your circulation increases, metabolism speeds up, you sweat more, and toxins begin to move.

The missing piece? Oxygen.

🧠 Oxygen is the primary fuel your mitochondria need to process and eliminate the toxins once they’re mobilized. That’s what makes EWOT so powerful — it delivers the oxygen your body requires to actually deal with what’s been stirred up.

☀️ But here’s the twist: summer heat has a similar (but less intense) effect.

On hot, humid days — especially during a heatwave — your body is constantly trying to regulate itself. You’re sweating, your heart rate increases, and you may feel drained, foggy, even itchy.

Sound familiar?

It turns out, you may be in a low-grade detox state all day long… but without the support your body needs to actually clear the toxins.

What kind of toxins?

➡️ Heavy metals like arsenic, lead, mercury, and aluminum hide deep in fat tissue.
➡️ When your body heats up, they start to move.
➡️ Some of these get released into your bloodstream — and luckily, some are excreted through sweat.

So if you’re feeling extra tired, foggy, or irritable lately — it might not just be the heat.
It might be your body trying to detox… but struggling.

Even after all my years in natural detox and ozone therapy, this connection still amazes me.

Heavy Metal Detox: Where to Begin (Without Overwhelm)

Heavy Metal Detox: Where to Begin (Without Overwhelm)

if you are interested in this research, please read on below.

Now that we've touched on the problem... let's start talking about what we can actually do.

Detox doesn't have to mean extreme fasting or complicated regimens. The body is already designed to detox—it just needs the right support to do so efficiently, especially in our modern toxic world.

 The Real Challenge: Bioaccumulation

Heavy metals like lead, mercury, and arsenic etc can build up silently over years. They don't just sit in the bloodstream—they lodge themselves into bones, fat, brain and other vital organs tissue, and even in your mitochondria (your energy engines!).

That's why while your blood test looks "normal," you could still have a tissue-level burden.

Supporting the Body's Natural Detox Pathways

Supporting the body's natural detox pathways

Before pulling toxins out, we need to make sure the "drains" are open. Otherwise, stirring up toxins without proper elimination can make you feel worse.

Let's start by supporting these five main detox organs:

  1. Liver – Your main filter. Needs antioxidants, gentle stimulation (e.g., castor oil packs, bitter herbs, ozone).
  2. Kidneys – Flush out water-soluble waste. Needs hydration, minerals, kidney friendly herbal support.
  3. Colon – Needs water, fiber, magnesium, and bowel regularity.
  4. Lymphatic system – Moves toxins through tissues. Needs movement, dry brushing, hydration.
  5. Skin – Your backup organ! Sauna, sweating, and mineral-rich baths are powerful here.

Think of detox like unclogging a house drain. You don't pour drain cleaner in if the pipe is blocked at the end. First, you check the exit path.

Gentle Daily Practices to Start Now

You don't have to do everything at once. Just pick 1–2 simple things and build from there.

Here are some examples of gentle, supportive detox practices:

  • Lemon water in the morning (hydration + liver support)
  • Sweating regularly (ozone sauna, hot baths, hot yoga, exercise)
  • Dry brushing or light rebounding (lymph movement)
  • Ozone therapy or ozone sauna (powerful cellular-level detox)
  • More greens (especially cilantro, parsley, chlorella)
  • Magnesium-rich foods or baths (support bowel and relax nervous system)

We'll expand on these and share our favourite combinations soon.

Detox Is a long walk, Not a Sprint

Detox isn't a one-time event. It's a rhythm, a conversation with your body. Some days are about releasing, some are about restoring. The key is consistency and kindness—not punishment.

"You don't push the river—you flow with it."

In the next email, we'll focus on the first heavy metal: Arsenic
Where it hides. How it disrupts. What to do about it.

It's more common than most people think—and it might explain more than you realize.

Introduction to Heavy Metals & Chronic Disease

Introduction to Heavy Metals & Chronic Disease

Although heavy metals are just one part of today’s environmental toxic burden, they’ve been a persistent problem for a very long time.

That’s why we’ve chosen to start with a recap of these particular toxins. From here, we’ll move forward into other types of environmental exposures that impact us every day.

We promise to keep it simple—because let’s be honest, how can we process complex information when we’re already dealing with:

Brain fog
Chronic fatigue
Inflammation

That vague feeling of “I just don’t feel like myself anymore…”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. These aren’t just random symptoms—they’re signals. Signals that your body may be accumulating toxins and approaching a tipping point.

Even small amounts of heavy metals—like arsenic, mercury, cadmium, nickel, and lead—can silently disrupt:

Energy production
Brain clarity & emotional balance
Immune response & inflammation levels
Weight regulation & hormonal health

I know many of you are already familiar with this topic. You’ve read about it. Maybe you’ve detoxed—once, or even several times in the past few years. But unless this is something you’re actively addressing daily, there’s still more to uncover, feel, and understand.

Awareness is vital — but action and momentum are what actually move the needle.

What If You’re Already Feeling Pretty Good?

That’s fantastic! Then this can be your tune-up — a way to sharpen your body’s natural systems and protect yourself from future overload.

Whether your goals are:

Losing weight
Clearer, younger-looking skin
Boosted energy
A sharper mind
Improve your quality of life

Addressing daily heavy metals burden could help unlock all of those benefits.

A Personal Note From Us

Of course, many of you are navigating deeper challenges—post-COVID symptoms, Lyme disease, chronic infections, food sensitivities, or inherited weaknesses.

There’s a lot going on for so many of us. But we all have to start somewhere. So let’s begin with what is known, what we know how to manage, and then build forward—step by step.

Both Maya and I have personally benefited from ozone therapies and detox programs — especially in sauna using our largest detoxification organ; our skin.
But healing doesn’t happen all at once. It’s not a magic pill. It is a process. It’s more like a spiral: each higher plateau opens the door to the next level.

And sometimes, yes—it feels like a roller coaster!

This is not just a race against time.
It’s a process of releasing what no longer serves us, of adapting as our bodies shift and heal. Some organs regenerate more slowly. Hormones ebb and flow. But we are not just passive passengers—we are the guides of our own healing journey.

Let’s move forward together—with more clarity, energy, and joy.

What to Expect Tomorrow

You’ll go over the specifics of the various heavy metals with attention to:

✅ What it is
✅ Where it hides
✅ What it does to your system
✅ What you can do to address it’s negative impact (naturally)

No overwhelm. Just clarity and direction.

We’d Love to Hear From You

Whether you’re new to this subject or experienced, sceptical or excited—We’d truly love to hear from you.
Your thoughts, experiences, or viewpoints matter.

We’re in this together; the entire population of this planet and we all carry some responsibility for each other.

Rediscovering a Genius: The Lost Sauna Protocols of Professor von Ardenne

Nearly a century ago, Professor Manfred von Ardenne—a brilliant German physicist, inventor, and medical pioneer—began developing what would become one of the most advanced integrative cancer protocols of his time. His approach was far ahead of its era: a systematic therapy that combined oxygen enrichmentmetabolic stimulationphysical activation, and heat to enhance the body’s natural capacity for healing.

Prof von Ardenne was one of the first to show, through clinical and laboratory research, that oxygen uptake in tissues could be profoundly improved by increasing the arterial–venous oxygen difference—in essence, making the body more efficient at using the oxygen it already receives. His breakthrough became known as Oxygen Multistep Therapy (OMT), a method that not only raised oxygen levels in the blood but also stimulated capillary perfusion, improved mitochondrial energy production, and helped restore normal function in oxygen-deprived cells. OMT was renamed for EWOT therapy in North America as soon as prof von Ardenne’s writings were translated into English and circulated as such in the media ever since.

What set Professor von Ardenne apart wasn’t just that he believed oxygen was important—it was that he understood how profoundly oxygen shortage at the cellular level could alter the course of a disease.

In his clinical work, he documented that reduced oxygen availability in tissue (what he called “oxygen deficiency syndromes”) played a central role in conditions ranging from cardiovascular disease and cancer to immune dysfunction and chronic fatigue. His solution? Not just to supply more oxygen, but to ensure that the body could actually absorb, transport, and utilize it.
